What is a Pre-Assessment Lab?
Cisco 360 CCIE R&S Pre-Assessment Lab is a four hour on-line graded lab done on Cisco Equipment which provides you with an assessment on your grasp of the technology and configuration skills needed for core topics encountered in the Routing and Switching CCIE lab. This Pre-Assessment saves many hours of study time by identifying "if what you think you know is what you know."
What is a Graded Assessment Lab?
A Graded Assessment Lab is an online experience where you will perform a graded lab on real Cisco equipment. The labs are of similar length, level of difficulty and cover all the topologies of the CCIE lab blueprint. To reflect the recent changes to the Routing and Switching CCIE lab, Cisco 360 now offers assessment labs in the v4.0 format, where some labs contain single eight hour multi-topic configuration scenario, others are divided into two parts: a six hour configuration section and a separate three hour troubleshooting section. Once you have taken a series of Assessment Labs, you will establish a trend of performance. Using the Cisco 360 tracking and trending tools, you can identify what your strengths and weaknesses are in a series of Assessment Labs. This information can help direct your future study activities.
Why perform an Assessment Lab?
To answer the question in all CCIE candidate's minds... "Am I ready to take the lab?". Performing the Assessment Lab under time pressure and on real equipment best prepares you for situations you may encounter in the real lab setting. The difference between the real lab and the Graded Assessment Lab is that in the real lab you never know what you did right or wrong. After taking the Graded Assessment lab, you are provided a wealth of information that will help you target your study in your weaker areas.
